We opened our restaurant in early summer of 2002 in Tihany, 1 minute walking distance from the abbey, right on the on the walking path. Our restaurant offers traditional family hospitality in a pleasant environment. Most of our dishes or some of their components are prepared in a traditional oven, which is the highlight of our restaurant.

Our restaurant can seat about 120 people — mostly in the garden, but we also have interior areas that can seat up to 40 people – all situated around and in a historical building. It was built in 1839, thus being one of the oldest residential buildings in Tihany, rightly refers back to the traditions and past of Tihany.

If you are longing for homemade flavors, or would like to rediscover the taste of dishes once prepared by your grandmother, you will find them all here. What you will not find, however, are semi-prepared or ready-made foods containing preservatives. We hope our traditional flavors will also win your appreciation.
